Alabama ABC Board Launches New Quarterly Sweepstakes

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The ABC Board of Alabama has announced more ways for customers to snag hard-to-find brands.

According to the ABC Board, a new limited release quarterly sweepstakes program will be held in March, June and September. The first quarterly sweepstakes will be held March 25 at 10:00 am with approximately 50 spots available at each of 22 selected ABC Store locations across Alabama.

“We continue to hear from customers that a sweepstakes-style sale is a fair way to offer awarded products,” said Neil Graff, ABC’s board of directors chief operating officer. “We want to make sure these brands get into the hands of as many people as possible. Sweepstakes sales are fun and exciting, allowing us to engage with more shoppers and ensuring fairness.”

While winning a spot in the queue does not guarantee a specific product, the ABC board of directors will guarantee select buyers a specific position in the queue at each of the 22 locations on the day of the event. Winners must be present and in line at the selected store no later than 9:30 am on the day of the event. ABC Store staff will verify the identity of Sweepstakes winners and their assigned positions in the line. Winners must present an Alabama-issued ID, Alabama driver’s license or military photo ID. The name on the ID card must match the name on the contest entry.

Winners not in the queue by 9:30 a.m. on the day of the event will be disqualified and the queue will be adjusted to accommodate the missing competitor’s position in the queue, the ABC board added.

Alabama residents can register for the March Sweepstakes between February 6th and 26th. All entrants can select up to four ABC deals to review and will receive a text and email notification 48 hours after the entry deadline if a spot in the queue has been allocated. There will be a walk-through line for shoppers who do not win a seat in line. Due to limited stock, fewer items may be available for buyers participating in the walk-up line.

The 2023 quarterly publication program complements the Alabama ABC Board’s monthly publication program, scheduled to occur in February, April, May, July, August, October and November, and its annual sweepstakes, scheduled to occur in December.
