It can be a great thing that the SEC Big 12 Challenge is coming to an end, especially for SEC programs.
The Big 12 won seven of the ten games in last Saturday’s event, some by convincing margins.

The biggest upset of the weekend was Oklahoma’s thrashing of No. 2 Alabama, 93-69. Two Sooners scored 25 or more points in the game, led by Grant Sheffield’s 30-point effort, followed by Jalen Hill’s 26-point game.
Mississippi State also picked up an upset victory by defeating No. 11 TCU, 81-74. The Bulldogs took overtime to get the win but got a much-needed performance from Tolu Smith, who scored 27 points and conceded 13 rebounds.
In the only ranked vs. ranked match of the event, Rick Barnes brought out the best in his former roster as No. 4 Tennessee defeated No. 11 Texas 82-71 in Knoxville. Oliver Nkhamhoua and Zakai Zeigler each scored 20 points for the Volunteers, losing 27 and 22 points respectively.
