It is quiet. Too quiet.
Or is it?
Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide finished comfortably ahead of Georgia and Texas to earn the nation’s top recruit league in 2023.
Having won nine five-star, 18 four-star and one three-star hotels in the early signing phase, Crimson Tide doesn’t feel like it has much work to do.
And those 28 additions don’t include the addition of both Maryland tight end CJ Dippre and Georgia linebacker Trezmen Marshall.
Needless to say, Alabama has plenty of new talent to make up the 2023-24 roster.
Sports Illustrated didn’t even bother to wait and named the Crimson Tide their national recruiting champion back in December. Alabama finished with 11 prospects in the SI99, the most of any team.
It’s not just the Crimson Tide, most programs expect a quiet National Signing Day. Over time, more and more recruits are announcing their decisions by early signing day. The same goes for this year, as the majority of notable prospects declare their future early on December 21, 2022.
However, there are still a few things to watch across the country on Tuesday.
Of the 150 best players in the Class of 2023, four still have to decide.

Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs don’t think they’re done just yet. Country tight end No. 1 Duce Robinson is yet to make a decision on his future. Many believe that he will bring his talents to Athens.
The same goes for four-star tight end Walker Lyons, who has also been linked with the Bulldogs. However, Lyons, a native of California, may be leaning toward Stanford involvement.
Another person to keep an eye on is quarterback Jaden Rashada. Rashada signed his letter of intent at the University of Florida before officially annulling the document on Jan. 20 and disbanding it from the Gators. It is believed he will remain in the Sunshine State and instead play for Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes.
The No. 1 ATH in the 2023 class is also about to make its decision. Nyckoles Harbor, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound edge rusher from Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, DC, appears to be leaning towards a commitment to Shane Beamer and South Carolina.
The final high-profile recruit to make his decision Tuesday is four-star cornerback Rodrick Pleasant. Pleasant is No. 8 CB in class and hails from Boston College, California, Oregon, UCLA and USC.
