Bachelorette Clare Crawley reveals her wedding dress was stolen while vacationing in Hawaii with fiancé Ryan Dawkins
Clare Crawley has something borrowed and something blue for her upcoming nuptials, but something new isn’t what the bride-to-be had planned as she needed to find a new wedding dress quickly.
She recently revealed her original wedding dress was stolen while the reality star, 41, and her fiancé Ryan Dawkins, 45, were enjoying a vacation in Hawaii.
The couple met in 2021 but kept their relationship under wraps until September 2022, a month before the Mascot Sports CEO proposed.
The former Bachelorette star shared the sad news in a video on Instagram Stories as she cut fruit while sharing a ski trip with her boyfriend and their two daughters.

The reality star shared a photo of a handkerchief she received as a gift with “lucky tears” embroidered in blue, along with the diamond earrings she borrowed for the ceremony, writing: “… something borrowed. Something blue’ next to the photo.
She then shared the sad news that the dress she chose for her big day had been broken into.
“I know I always share that, but I have a deep belief that everything should happen the way it’s supposed to happen, whether it looks good or bad or it’s what I want or not what I want. I trust to the depths of my soul that everything has a reason. And we may not know what that reason looks like right now, but it works. So let me tell you what happened,” the former Bachelor contestant revealed in a lengthy video on her Instagram story on Saturday.

“When Ryan and I got back from Hawaii earlier this week, my car was broken into while we were away,” she explained. “And guess what was in the car? Remember my wedding is very soon. My wedding dress was in my car! It was in there because I was supposed to take it to get his last change and I wanted to remind myself not to forget it.’
With the wedding coming up soon, the hairstylist said she needs to focus on what’s really important.
“I thought, ‘It’s okay. It’s about the moment and what we’re celebrating. I can carry anything and I’ll be glad we’re here.”

Engagement: The couple got engaged in October 2022, a month after their relationship went public
When Clare went to the bridal shop to pick up her veil, she told the owner what had happened and the two were quickly able to find a new dress that was apparently meant to be.
“It turned out to be the wedding dress that was on my Pinterest board three years ago. It’s the dress of my dreams!’ said Crawley with tears in his eyes.
“It’s the most beautiful dress and it’s better than I could have imagined. So, [I’m] I’m still crying tears of joy, but everything is going as it should – and sometimes even better. Even when things don’t look good, I think things will get better. It turns out as it should turn out.’

Happy ending: When Clare shared the sad news with the bridal shop owner, they found a replacement and it turned out ‘was the wedding dress that was on my Pinterest board three years ago. It’s the dress of my dreams!’ (Recorded in Los Angeles in August 2015)
