The San Diego State Aztecs will travel to Reno to meet the Nevada Wolf Pack in Mountain West, playing on CBSSN from the Lawlor Events Center. SDSU holds the all-time streak, 22-6, after winning nine straight meetings.

San Diego State improved to 17-4 after beating San Jose State at home. The Aztecs held the Spartans to just 14 points in the first half, driving to a 21-point win. SDSU scores 75.4 points per game, allows 66.1 ppg, and shoots 45.6% from the floor.

San Diego State has been one of the best teams in the country this season, with their defensive strength and experience leading the way. The Aztecs are currently resting 9-1 on Mount West. The Aztecs go nine deep, and veteran guard Matt Bradley leads the team again this season with 13.1 ppg after a consistent performance throughout conference play. Seattle transfer Darrion Trammell leads SDSU in assists (3.6) while averaging 11.2 ppg. Veteran forward Keshad Johnson has double-doubled in two of their last three games, averaging 8.1 ppg and 4.9 rpg. Lamont Butler (9.9 ppg), Micah Parrish (7.6 ppg), and Jaedon Ladee (7.1 ppg, 5.1 rpg) all create havoc on both sides of the ball for SDSU.

Nevada fell to 16-6 after a road loss to UNLV. The Wolf Pack and Rebels fought back and forth for the lead, but the hosts would walk away with the six-point victory. Nevada scores 73.5 points per game, allows 66.7 ppg and shoots 44.2% from the floor.

Nevada has traded their last six games, and it’s a testament to how tough Mount West is at the top. A victory over the conference-leading Aztecs would be huge here, but they were very sharp. Senior Guard Jarod Lucas is getting things started for Nevada. Oregon State Transfer scored 22 points in the win over New Mexico and leads Nevada with 17.0 ppg. Fellow veteran guard Kenan Blackshear posted a game-high 28 points against Utah State, and he’s posting a healthy line of 14.8 ppg, 4.4 rpg and 4.6 apg. Senior center Will Baker scored 28 points against UNM and posted 13.1 ppg and grabbed 5.0 rpg.

SDSU is 8-10-2 against the spread this season, with a 12-8 over/under record. Nevada is 12-7-2 ATS this year, with a 13-8 o/u record.

I love how respectful the books here are for Nevada because I all live in the state of San Diego. The Aztecs have the depth and experience to trust at this venue and they continue to dominate conference play this season. The Mountain West have stiffened a bit at the top, but San Diego State is still the team to beat in the conference. Take the SDSU moneyline for this MWC matchup.
