February 1, 2023 — The National Weather Service Hanford Office reports that the next storm system will hit central California Saturday night and Sunday, resulting in a chance of snow in the Sierra Nevada and a chance of rain in the San Joaquin Valley.
Snow depth starts at about 6,000 feet Saturday night before dropping to about 5,000 feet on Sunday.
Most of this precipitation falls on Saturday night.

99 south of Selma, Hwy 198 from Visalia to Lemoore, Hwy 41
from Kettleman City to Caruthers and Highway 58 from Bakersfield
to Buttonwillow. Slow down when driving, use low beam,
and keep sufficient distance between your vehicle and the vehicle
in front of them.

indicate the possibility of falling on IFR/LIFR conditions. VFR
