Indiana County is well represented in the 2023 Top 100 released over the weekend by Pennsylvania Business Central, a Harrisburg-area publication and Sample News Group, a sibling of the Indiana Gazette.
“The resilience of the business community in central Pennsylvania keeps our region moving forward in a year marked by inflation, labor shortages and political uncertainty,” PBC staffers wrote. “Amidst the challenges, business leaders in central Pennsylvania have stepped up to keep essential goods and services available.”
Nominations were submitted by community leaders, local chambers of commerce, business and industry leaders, and PBC readers.
Local names in the top 100 include:
• Laura Herrington, executive director of the Indiana County Tourist Bureau
• Joe Reschini, President of Reschini Group and CEO of Evergreen Insurance
• Dave Reed, former House Majority Leader, now Senior Vice President and President of the State of Pennsylvania at First Commonwealth Bank
• Jane Grebenc, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer of FCB holding company First Commonwealth Financial Corporation
• George “Scoop” Sample, owner and CEO of Sample News Group, which includes PBC and locally The Indiana Gazette, Blairsville Dispatch, Shoppers’ Guide and the Kittanning Leader Times
• David G. Antolik, President of S&T Bank and Board Member of S&T Bancorp
• Marie Thomas-Olson, Coordinator, Indiana Community Garden and Chevy Chase Food Forest
• Christina Koren, who joined the Office of University Grants at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2020 as Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, is now Director of Strategic Partnerships and responsible for managing government and community initiatives
